X user @swansongblues shared about being inactive for a day, and then a lot of Yim Siwan slander about his acting and looks were thrown by K-pop fans and idol-actor stans. This is how Yim Siwan’s name started to become a trending on Korean Actors Topic on X after user @neelchaews replied under the former’s Tweet. They picked on Siwan’s visuals, saying he is not considered handsome. “A good drama script requires a handsome man,” their reply said. The user then compared him to numerous idol actors like Cha Eunwoo and Park Hyungsik, and even the fan-favorite Song Kang.

Of course, replies under @neelchaews were bombarded with the actor’s fans talking about his visuals and outstanding acting career. They can’t believe that the user addressed Siwan as not handsome, when in fact, his face card never declines.

For those uninitiated, during K-pop’s second generation, Yim Siwan was with Park Hyungsik in their nine-member boy group, ZE:A. Before the two became an actor, they were once idols; believe it or not, both were the group’s visuals. As they both ventured into acting after their idol career, they were one of the several idol-turned-actors to be serving looks and can act in whatever role they are in.

Apart from his visuals, the actor’s acting has been lowkey targeted, too.
