The Fallout-based TV series is set to start production after almost a year’s worth of wait. Reports from Deadline and Variety reveal that Captain Marvel, i.e., Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Silicon Valley, i.e., Graham Wagner signed up as the showrunners on this project. The official Twitter account of Fallout had re-tweeted Deadline’s story, thereby confirming the same.
CREW CONFIRMED
Deadline confirmed the details about the show, and it also announced that Jonathan Nolan would direct the series premiere. Nolan is the co-creator of HBO’s Westworld, which has certain dystopian elements with Fallout’s universe. The TV series had already been announced in 2020. Bethesda Game Studios will be a part of the production. Series director Todd Howard will serve as an executive producer.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Nolan and Joy said:
“Fallout is one of the greatest game series of all time. Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends. So we’re incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios.”

Moreover, the franchise is also well-known for its grappling way of story-telling. Fallout franchise is one of the best RPG series players can immerse in.
- In 2004, Bethesda acquired the Fallout franchise’s rights, and they subsequently developed Fallout 3 by 2008. Since then, the company has published two more games set in Fallout world, Fallout 4 and Fallout 76.
- Fallout 4 was the latest mainline game, released in 2015. Fallout 76 was a multiplayer spinoff, released in 2018. Since then, no new Fallout titles have been confirmed.
