Netflix’s anime catalog is very decent. But what adds shine to all the glitter is definitely its addition of Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure to its list of Anime to stream. Warner Bros. Japan recently held an online stream event on October 7 that disclosed vital anime information. The event took place on their official youtube channel and was done so to commemorate the adaptation of the sixth part of Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure Stone Ocean manga. The event announced the release of Episodes 24-38 which will be the final part (and 3rd chronologically) of Stone Ocean, the fifth season of Jojo.

The event was hosted by  Fairouz Ai (voice of Jolyne Cujoh), Mutsumi Tamura( Ermes Costello), and Mariya Ise (Foo Fighters). It was held on TV during the pre-release of Episode 13 of Stone Ocean. The TV airing of Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure Stone Ocean Manga adaptation is still on Episode 13. However, Netflix had previously distributed up to Episode 23 on their streaming platform on September 1. Japanese viewers still await the release of the rest of the episodes of Jojo’s Bizzare Adventures Stone Ocean Part 2 which should wrap up before December 1.
The hinting through the key visuals
Warner Bros. Japan also revealed the key visuals for Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure Stone Ocean final part. One is in Japanese while the other poster is for English viewers. The series director after the release of the key visuals shared his thoughts on the same, commenting that the visuals foreshadow the premonitions of threat looming over the characters. The visuals foreshadow the main antagonist Enrico Pucci in the very bottom base. Towards his left, we see shadowy darkness grim while his right side seems to be a bright flare of light.

Arahi’s unique way of storytelling
- Hirohiki Arahi’s Jojo’s Bizzare Adventures is segmented into multiple parts. Each part is an arc of sorts and is a unique development in itself. Each part connects with the previous one to form a franchise.
- JJBA initially began with the story of Jonathan Joester, and Dio Brando, the first Joester as per the release chronology. Arahi however doesn’t tell the same story for way too long (Sorry One Piece) and shifts the entire cast and setting.
JJBA is a multi-generational story
- Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure hence is a multi-generational story of the Joester family line. Each new part contains a new antagonist, a new protagonist (usually a descendent of the former Joester), and an entirety of a new environment. Along with the cast sometimes the setting changes the entire country as well.
Understanding Manga Part, Anime Season, and their segmented parts in Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure
- Remember that when the anime adapts one part (or arc) in the manga, the entirety of the season of the anime can be divided into multiple parts. For example, Stone Ocean is the fifth anime season that adapts the sixth part of the manga and is divided into three anime parts which air sequentially and with gaps in between.
- Season 1 of the Anime adapted the first two parts of JJBA Manga (which were named Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency).
- Season 2 of the anime adapted the third part, Stardust Crusaders, and aired in two anime parts.
- Season 3 covered the fourth part of the manga, Diamond is Unbreakable.
- Season 4 adapted the fifth part, Golden Wind.
- Season 5 here covers the sixth part, Stone Ocean, and was divided into three parts.

Are the previous directors returning in Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure Stone Ocean Manga’s anime adaptation?
David Production really made their presence more vivid in the world of anime studios mainly through the Jojo franchise. As such it is only natural to not deviate from the very studio that has homed a series till its fifth season.
- Kenichi Suzuki (Also known for Drifters and Cells At Work!), after being burdened with taking Jojo’s initial entry through the roof with the anime adaptation of parts 1 through 3, is all scheduled to take the helm once again.
- It is notable that Jojo’s Bizzare Adventures: Diamond Is Unbreakable was primarily directed by Naokatsu Tsuda and Toshiyuki Kato.
- Kato also headed alongside Suzuki in the first two parts of the 5th season of JJBA so far.
The rest of the staff
As such, each Jojo episode is directed by a different director. But it is the chief director that is primarily tasked with overseeing the entirety of the seasons.
Other than this, Yasuko Kobayashi is returning as the series composer. Masanori Shino (Black Lagoon) is tasked with character design. Shunichi Ishimoto (chief animation director of JJBA: Golden Wing anime adaptation) is stand designer. Yoshikazu Iwanami is the returning sound director. Yugo Kanno is also returning as composer from part 3-5.

Do expect a sudden shift in the story continuity of Jojo’s Bizzare Adventures from part 7th onwards. Remember that a huge universal resetting is due underway that will lead to the next part: Steel Ball Run. Without giving you the entirety of it, we can tell you that the next part goes back to the original themes and setting of Jojo.
The noble 19th century King’s men’s feelings shall make a comeback, given that the author himself feels that is the best setting for a Jojo story.
Conclusion
The way of the world in Jojo’s Bizzare Adventures is such that stands have played a significant role ever since their introduction in Part 3. As such it is notable that Dio’s stand was capable of manipulating time. Years after Dio’s death, Dio never really died. While his followers continued to ensure menace in the world. Hirohiko Arahi had severe obstacles while tackling the ending of Stone Ocean, which we won’t spoil for you. The complexity in which the ways of the universe change is not only staggeringly captivating but also cognitively interesting. Find it out for yourself when the final part releases this December 1st.
