Does Exoprimal support Crossplay?
Exoprimal technically does support crossplay, but it is restricted within the designated ecosystems.
On day 1, Exoprimal will support cross-platform matchmaking, but party creation will be specific to each platform ecosystem, as seen below in no particular order:
Group 1: Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Windows
Group 2: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5
Group 3: Steam— Exoprimal (@exoprimal) July 7, 2023
- PlayStation players can expect crossplay between PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
- Similarly, crossplay is available for gamers playing on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
- Exoprimal fans buying the game from Steam can only play with others within that platform.
- However, you can buy the game from Microsoft Store for PC. Doing so will allow you to pair up with your friends even if they are on Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S.
The game’s developers also communicated that they want to create a true crossplay experience within the game that will allow you to join your friends through any platform. Though this facility’s integration might take some time, we can expect it in the future.
