Elden Ring: Eclipse Shotel, All Details

Eclipse Shotel is a one bad-a*$ looking sword thingy that any Elden Ring players would want to get their hands on. I personally want one myself, IRL though (for collections purposes only) *wink *wink 😉

Storied sword and treasure of Castle Sol that depicts an eclipsed sun drained of color. One of the legendary armaments.
In Sol, the sight of an eclipse inspires a dreadful awe, preventing an onlooker from averting his gaze.

This weapon has the ability to put enemies in the state of death if it hits them. This death status-ailment only works during PvPs and is not that much of a game-changer in Elden’s PvE content, according to some players, which means it isn’t very effective. However, if the dev team enhances this bad boy in any future patches, now would be a fantastic time to get this item. <3

Eclipse Shotel

Death Ailment- a spell, an incantation, and a weapon can stack this death sickness on enemies, so players who want to use it have a few options.

The Eclipse Shotel is one of the better alternatives, because of its weapon skill, Death Flare, which can stack death effect on opponents. If players wish to try out the Eclipse Shotel curved sword for themselves, here’s how to get it.

STATS & REQUIREMENTS

The Eclipse Shotel sword demands a lot of Dexterity and Faith to wield. This weapon is quick, agile, and has access to the special Death Flare skill, which ignites the sword and allows you to strike your opponents and inflict death ailment. It also includes a follow-up strike that, if used in rapid succession, will result in an explosion.

Although the sword’s death sickness does not scale well, even with enhancements/upgrades, it is a decent weapon for both PvE & PvP. To properly handle the Eclipse Shotel, you’ll need 30 Faith, 25 Dexterity, and 10 Strength.

LOCATION

The Eclipse Shotel will not be discovered until later in the game, as it is located high in the Giant Mountaintops, far north of where you begin your adventure.

The journey to the snowy mountains is long, as you must first go to the Altus Plateau, then traverse through Leyndell, the Royal Capital. To sneak onto the back of the plateau, you must either unlock and use the Grand Lift of Dectus or fight Magma Wyrm Makar.

Due to difficult foes and brutal bosses, Leyndell, Royal Capital is an extremely hard area to clear, especially in the early game.

You can eventually find an elevator in the city that will take you to the Forbidden Passage and then to the Grand Lift of Rold. The Mountaintops of the Giants are located up this Grand lift.

Progress through the area until you reach Stargazer’s Ruins once you’ve gained entrance to the Mountaintops of the Giants. From there, walk northwest to a bridge to Castle Sol.

Continue through the region until you reach the Church of the Eclipse once you’ve arrived at Castle Sol.

In this location, be cautious because the monsters, especially in groups, are quite deadly.

At the altar of the church, the Eclipse Shotel is kept.
