After 7 long years of its release, Dying Light 1 has received its last major update. The developers have also announced that the Dying Light Enhanced Edition will now be available for free. The free Enhanced Edition upgrade is available for the base game owners and includes the DLCs for the base game.

As for what’s new with the update, it mainly focuses on the dark fantasy DLC Hellraid. This includes both gameplay and economy tweaks. There are even adjustments made to the difficulty and new tutorial screens have been added too. More generally, there are also some new chainsaw weapon types, new weapon meshes and sound effects. There’s also a new content back called the Dieselpunk Bundle. This bundle includes the new Gut Render chainsaw and the Flesh Ripper saw blade.

Techland has said that Dying Light is being automatically upgraded to the Enhanced Edition of the game. To download all this additional content, players would need to launch Dying Light. From there, players will have to option to choose the option ‘DLC Packs’ and download all their new content. This Enhanced Edition upgrade package includes a lot of DLCs for the base game.
