Dr. Stone has been one of those shonen series that have really caught the development fancy of most anime fans. There’s something about witnessing Senku Ishigami create the most common yet innovative inventions from the modern world into the stone age which Senku’s timeline has fallen into. Dr. Stone Season 3 is subtitled New World and should venture into the Dr. Stone Petrification Origin story. What does the new Dr. Stone Trailer reveal?
What Dr. Stone Season 2 has been about so far
- While Dr. Stone set up the previous season as an establishing story for Senku and his entire crusade, season 2 explored the stone wars Manga arc. Stone Wars was one of the Manga’s most prominent sections.
- Simply out of the sheer fact that post waking up from their sleep, Senku had drifted away from the brute named Tsukasa. The premise of Stone Wars was that of the Kingdom of Science fighting the Kingdom of Strength. Spoiler alert ahead.
The ending of Dr. Stone Season 2 introduced us to the beginning of Season 3
- The conclusion of Stone Wars saw the ending of the famed villain, Tsukasa. As such it was quite definitive for the series. Mainly because Tsukasa was developed as the primary antagonist of the series ever since Season 1. People may have expected Tsukasa to remain for longer.
But Dr. Stone Season 2 gave a definitive conclusion to the Stone Wars that pressed Senku’s village of science. With his only nemesis gone, Senku Ishigami now bothers to travel onto the sea. In what could be described as his first Christopher Colombus voyage, Senku shall discover what awaits him in the “NEW WORLD”.

The new world that awaits Senku in Season 3 New World
- The premise of New World seems to be precisely that – to voyage onto the sea. Although we don’t expect the series to introduce One Piece-ish element with pirates and all. We do expect the story to line toward the introduction of a whole new set of characters. Before Senku took charge of the Ishigami village, he needed to win over their trust.
- Dr. Stone Season 3 will adapt the Dr. Stone Petrification Origin saga. The reason Senku and friends voyage into the seas is to find the source of the petrification. The green nuclear-like explosion made everyone stoned (pun intended). It came from the other end of the Earth.
Conclusion
- As such, for the sake of expansion of the Kingdom of Science, Senku will need much more than his original territory which got occupied by Senku.
- He shall also need much more than just the Ishigami village, which was twistedly found to be the lineage of the four astronauts that lived from Earth. These four astronauts included Senku Ishigami’s father.

With hopes like these Senku and his mates shall venture onto the New World. The new world will introduce to Senku not only New Americans but also a line of primitive civilization known as the Petrification Kingdom.
