Halle Bailey is all over the news today, though not for a good reason. The Little Mermaid breakout star has been at the center of pregnancy rumors since last month, and things even got out of hand when her alleged baby bump photos emerged. Now, the latest is the 23-year-old has confirmed her so-called marriage to her partner, DDG, and the alleged bun in the oven. So, is it true?
Halle Bailey Allegedly Confirms Marriage and Pregnancy
In the latest interview of Halle Bailey with Glamour UK, one-half of the musical duo Chloe x Halle allegedly talked about the positive and negative sides of “being a mum” and “being newly married.”
“Being a mum, being newly married — there’s the positive side of it, but also the negative. I want to show that although things might look perfect from the exterior, that’s not always the case,” she said.
Of course, this quickly sent fans into a frenzy, considering the severity of the pregnancy rumors surrounding Bailey. However, it looks like this line isn’t from her at all.
Glamour Magazine seems to have incorrectly placed a quote from their interview with Leigh Anne on their interview with Halle Bailey, which implied that Halle was married to DDG and expecting their first child. pic.twitter.com/qHB2a7DcjE

The quote comes from the Little Mix member Leigh-Anne Pinnock, who tied the knot with her footballer fiancé Andre Gray in a secret wedding ceremony in Jamaica in June. And after just a month, the English singer-songwriter announced she was pregnant in a post on Instagram.
So, what happened?
Halle Bailey Controversial Interview Explained
Many still haven’t moved on from the alleged revelation about the marriage and pregnancy of Halle Bailey to DDG—however untrue. Glamour had incorrectly placed the quote from Pinnock in Bailey’s part of the interview. The magazine has already cleared this mistake in its post, which you can see in the hyperlinked site above.
“An earlier version of this article was incorrectly published with the below quote from another GLAMOUR Women of the Year interview with Leigh-Anne Pinnock, which was published on the same day,” it said. “This was accidentally duplicated from the other article in error.”
As several gossip outlets have quickly covered this, they, too, have corrected their stories. However, many still want to believe it’s true.
I don’t think anyone is hating on Halle Bailey being pregnant. They’re just disappointed. She’s talented, beautiful, successful, & destined for greatness. And there are soo many amazing Black women. Well, it’s actually hard to prove if this is a wrong move or a PR stunt. Why? It’s a question to many as to how this can happen at the height of Bailey’s pregnancy rumors. The outlet has been in the business for decades, so making a mistake like this could raise some eyebrows. If this is a move to sell its new issue or gain more readers for its site—indeed, a lot want to read it this time—the outlet probably succeeds.
On the contrary, with its fame and influence, it may not need to make a PR stunt as bad as this. It doesn’t just disappoint fans and the artist herself; it may also ruin its credibility when it comes to accurate reporting, a practice all media publications should follow. That said, this may serve as a reminder for the media outlets to be responsible for what they report. In the fast-paced digital world and with the prevalence of misinformation, this kind of news can spread quickly.
Halle Bailey Pregnancy Rumors
The pregnancy rumors surrounding Halle Bailey started to heat up when she graced the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in September. An insider told Page Six that she stayed away from the pink carpet so she wouldn’t be photographed. She, too, was allegedly very careful of her moves, especially when she gave hugs.

Her outfit, a long and flowing dress, was also put into question, considering she would be one of the presenters for the event. “The orange dress flow was an indicator she was trying to hide,” the insider added.
So far, Bailey has yet to break her silence to address the issue. Whatever the case is, the couple needs their privacy. Bailey and DDG, a YouTube star and rapper, started dating after meeting at Usher’s music residency in Las Vegas in 2022.
