Fortnite is known for collaborating with games and releasing skins for characters in the battle royale. However, a recent leak reveals that Fortnite characters are the ones getting skins in another popular game, Destiny 2.
A notable data miner of Bungie’s Destiny 2 has revealed that the game is collaborating with the famous battle royale. In Destiny 2, players will soon have the chance to equip their characters with three of the most popular skins in Fortnite. Read on to find out more about this Destiny 2 x Fortnite collaboration as well as the upcoming Lightfall event.
Some iconic Fortnite characters are coming to Destiny 2 as revealed by leaked skins
Ginsor is a known data miner for Destiny 2. Ahead of the scheduled Lightfall event, Ginsor found some Fortnite skins in Destiny 2’s game files. On their official Twitter account, Ginsor unveiled the skins which had players thinking whether or not it was real.
Like what happens every time there is a leak for games like Fortnite, people asked if it was legitimate. However, Ginsor is known for being a reliable Destiny data miner. Moreover, the image they posted of the three skins looked more than legitimate.

The three leaked skins all look like if Fortnite took place in the universe of Destiny. The Black Knight, Drift, and Omega are three of the most iconic figures in Fortnite. So it would only make sense that if ever Epic decides to collaborate with Bungie, they would use these three as skins for armor sets in Destiny 2.
Furthermore, it looks like each class in Destiny 2 is getting its respective armor set inspired by these Fortnite icons.
- The Black Knight armor set seems to be for the Titans
- As for the Warlocks, their armor set is the one inspired by Fortnite’s Drift
- And finally, Omega’s armor set is for the Hunters
But more than that, there have also been talks about Destiny 2 soon becoming available on the Epic Games Store. If that does turn out to be true, then that would be a reasonable explanation as to why Fortnite is arriving in Destiny 2 and not the other way around.
What can we expect in Destiny 2’s next expansion called Lightfall?
Tomorrow, August 23 is when Season 18 of Destiny 2 goes live across all servers. In addition to that, Bungie is hosting a showcase which will reveal more about the next expansion to the game called Lightfall.
Although there isn’t much to go on about Lightfall, there have already been leaks about the expansion in the weeks leading up to its launch:
- Leaks suggest that Bungie is releasing a new subclass called Strand
- Moreover, there will be a new allied race in the game
- Players will journey to Neptune to find the artifact which The Witness seems to be interested in
Other than that, players can tune in to the showcase which airs tomorrow to know more about the Lightfall expansion arriving in the game.
