Destiny 2: The Dawning Event, All Details

The Dawning is one of Destiny’s more fun events, comparable to others such as the Festival of the Lost. It’s a fun and festive way to conclude the year and take a break from the grind. The Dawning event is now open to all players who choose to participate. The winter holiday event in Destiny 2 will take place from Mid-December to Jan 4, 2022.

The Dawning Event

Destiny 2 includes various real-world analogs to real-world holidays. In addition to a number of other in-game events, The Dawning covers winter events, Festival of the Lost covers Halloween and Day of the Dead. Crimson Days cover Valentine’s Day.

Eva Levante, everyone’s favorite space-grandma, will be bringing her baking goods and Holiday Oven to the Tower, just like in previous years. Players will be able to make a variety of cookies and treats for their favorite Destiny 2 NPCs with it. After conversing with Eva and producing their first-holiday gift, her entire inventory will open up. This allows players to obtain bounties, tasks, and upgrades.

Upgrades are a brand-new system for The Dawning, and they’re only available when you buy Dawning Spirit. Upgrades will continue for the duration of the event and add the ability for Dawning-themed weapons to drop with even more benefits. This as well increases the power of snowballs.

Vapoorwill Spin

• Players can earn the Vapoorwill Spin exotic ship and the Zephyr legendary sword by completing the “Rite of Dawning” and “The Pigeon Provides” missions.
• Players can then utilize Dawning Spirit to concentrate their “A Gift in Return” boxes from giving cookies into “Unity Gift Exchanges” or “Edgy Gift Exchanges” to track down specific weapon drops from The Dawning events that have passed.
• The Dawning Snowballs have also reappeared. Snowball heaps can be found all across the system, including in Europa, weekly Nightfalls, and Seasonal activities.

Eververse will sell a variety of Dawning-themed gear, ghost shells, emotes, sparrows, and ships to players. Players will be able to acquire ships and sparrows from previous The Dawning events in addition to the new stuff for 2021. This year, it appears that Bungie has gone all out in this department.
