Legendary Khvostov-7G
Veteran players can be on the lookout for a nostalgic weapon offered by the Khvostov-7G. Below is a guide to getting it:

- Complete The Final Shape campaign
- Access to open-world exploration
Steps
- Gather Lost Encryption Bits (9): Explore the world by searching for golden chests marked with “+” symbols on your map. These chests contain one Lost Encryption Bit each. Check video below.
- Unlock “Alone in the Dark” Quest (Micah-10): Progress through Micah-10’s questline until this specific quest becomes available.
- Complete 6 Cyst Missions: “Alone in the Dark” unlocks access to six Cyst missions, similar to Destiny 2’s Adventures. Each mission rewards a Lost Encryption Bit upon completion.
Here are the names of the Cyst missions:
- Sword Dance
- Searing Light
- Aerial Ace
- Moth-Infested Cavern
- Slayer
- Smothering Darkness
- Claim the Legendary Khvostov-7G: Once you have collected all 15 Lost Encryption Bits (9 from chests and 6 from missions), travel to the Impasse in free roam. Simply get inside and look for the Khvostov in the area where you found it in Destiny 1.
Important Update: Legendary Khvostov-7G Acquisition
Attention Destiny 2 players! Bungie has announced a temporary issue affecting the Legendary Khvostov-7G. Due to this, players will soon be unable to reacquire the weapon from Collections if they dismantle it. If you want to get the Exotic Khvostov, check my guide here.
