A Summary of Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 11

Today marked the premiere of Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 11, titled “A Connected Bond: Daybreak and First Light.” This episode continues the story from where Episode 10 left off.
- Mitsuri engages in a battle against the demon of Hatred and the dragon it has summoned. Meanwhile, Genya, Tanjiro, and Nezuko pursue Hantengu’s main body.
- Interestingly, Tanjiro utilizes a Thunder breathing technique in an attempt to close the distance between himself and Hantengu.
Tanjiro faces off against Hantengu for the last time
Tanjiro successfully impales the demon’s neck with his sword, but the attack fails to kill Hantengu. Nevertheless, it significantly weakens the demon, prompting Hantengu to seek blood to restore his strength. As a result, he begins to pursue nearby swordsmiths who were in hiding.
Fortunately, Muchiro Tokito arrives just in time and tosses Tanjiro’s newly forged blade—a 300-year-old Nichirin blade of the legendary Yoriichi Tssugikuni that has been reforged by Haganezuka. With this weapon, Tanjiro manages to sever the demon’s head. However, the demon’s consciousness resides in his heart, allowing him to survive.
Tanjiro fears that he almost lost Nezuko

As Tanjiro notices the rising sun and the demon chasing the swordsmiths, he protects Nezuko from its rays. Tanjiro finds himself torn between his duty as a demon slayer and his love for his sister. Nezuko, however, helps him make a decision by kicking him into the air and encouraging him to save innocent lives.
Tanjiro then pursues Hantengu and pierces his heart, ultimately killing him. Nevertheless, he feels sorrowful for having to sacrifice Nezuko in the process. However, something extraordinary unfolds before their eyes—Nezuko remains unaffected by sunlight and can thrive in its presence. Additionally, she is able to communicate with Mitsuri.
We get to witness Muzan’s Backstory

Meanwhile, in another part of the world, we gain insights into Muzan’s backstory. He was once a wealthy man facing an impending death. In an effort to defy his fate, Muzan received a specific medicine from his doctor, which ultimately led him to become a demon.
We discover that Muzan desires to walk in the sunlight, and there are two ways to achieve this. One is by creating a medicine using the elusive blue spider lily, while the other involves consuming a demon possessing that ability. Since Muzan has been unsuccessful in locating the blue spider lily thus far, he shifts his focus to pursuing Nezuko.
A happy ending

The episode concludes the third season of Demon Slayer, with Tanjiro bidding farewell to the swordsmith village, having earned the gratitude of every villager for his valiant efforts in saving their home.
What is next after Demon Slayer Season 3?
Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 11 is the last episode of the season. Ufotable has not disappointed us with the episode in the slightest. It features amazing music and animation. The plot was very well-paced and some of the moments definitely brought tears to a lot of viewers’ eyes. The season ends with Tanjiro getting his new sword.
However, although it may seem like peace and quiet now, we still have Muzan who is getting more antsy about finding a way to walk under the sun. We also have two of the upper six moons left, who pose a significant threat to the Demon Slayer Corps.

After the swordsmith village arc, only two story arcs remain.
- One is the Hashira Training Arc, where Tanjiro goes to see the Stone Hashira, Himejima, who intends to prepare him for the battles to come.
- Meanwhile, the demon lord Muzan continues to search for the location of Nezuko and Ubuyashiki.
- The next is the final battle arc, where In an epic confrontation, Tanjiro and his fellow Demon Slayers fight an epic battle against the King of Demons, Muzan Kibutsuji.
Dawn is breaking soon, and if they can keep Muzan at bay just a little longer, it will be the end of the centuries-long struggle. This will be the last story arc of the series and mark an end to the popular demon slayer franchise.
