Clash Royale, one of the most successful games of all time has recently posted a 70,000 tournament, the Iberian International Dreamhack 2023. This International event is open to everyone and will bring together talent from all around the world. Here are all the details of the tournament you should know.

Tournament Format

The competition consists of three phases for all the 3 cities and the top 6 will qualify for the grand finals in Valencia. The qualifiers are divided into 3 parts for all three cities (Valencia, Madrid, Andorra): into Online Qualifiers, Offline Qualifiers, and the Final Phase. Here is how all these qualifiers will work:

Online Qualifiers:

  • Phase 1: There will be 3 tournaments of 1,000 people in-game each day (capped at 15), where the top 16 of each will participate in a  single bracket and further the top 4 of each will be allowed to qualify for phase 2.
  • Phase 2: A total of 8 rounds of Swiss will be played, where only the top 32 will make it to the next phase.
  • Phase 3: The top 32 will be divided into 8 groups of 4 players each. The top 2 players from each group advance to Phase 4.
  • Phase 4: Bracket final double elimination of 16 players and the top 6 advances to the offline Phase (Round 4 Loser Bracket onwards)

Offline Qualifiers:

There will be an in-game tournament of 1,000 people, where the top 16 will play a single elimination bracket. The top 2 will qualify for the final bracket and will play in person.

The Final Phase:

8 players on a Single bracket elimination played in an in-game duel format.

Dreamhack Winter Finals

After each event, all players will obtain scores based on their secured rankings in both Offline and Online events, and based on that 6 players will qualify to play in the grand finals at Valencia. The format of the final will be as follow:

  • In-Game Tournament: Normal Battle
  • Top 16 Simple Bracket: in-Game Duels
  • Swiss Phase: in-Game Duels
  • Group Phase: in-Game Duels
  • Final Bracket: Bo3 Traditional Duels

Prize pool

The competition has a total prize pool worth 70.000€ which is distributed as follows:

  • Andorra = 15,000€
  • DreamHack Valencia Summer = 15,000€
  • Go2DreamHack Autumn Madrid = 15.000€
  • DreamHack Valencia Winter Finals  = 25,000€

The distribution of the prize pool for every specific phase is as follows:

Andorra, DreamHack Valencia Summer & Go2DreamHack Autumn:

  • 1st: 7,500€
  • 2nd: 3,000€
  • 3rd: 1,500€
  • 4th: 1,000€
  • 5th-8th: 500€

Dreamhack Valencia Winter Finals:

  • 1st: 10,000€
  • 2nd: 5,000€
  • 3rd: 3,500€
  • 4th: 2,5000€
  • 5th-8th: 1,000€

Participation

You can sign up for the tournament at the AppGrade application. Don’t forget the first qualifiers start on 17th April and end on 3Oth April. Hurry up!
