How to win in Choo-Choo Charles
The whole plot of Choo-Choo Charles is players take on the role of an archivist who also happens to be a monster hunter. Your character arrives on the island of Aranearum with one goal: kill and stop Charles’ reign of terror. At this point, you may already know who this Charles entity is. The game’s cover alone already shows Charles as the demonic and murderous version of Thomas the Train. It might be a good idea to keep kids away from Choo-Choo Charles for now.
- Although your only goal is to take down Charles and free Aranearum from this monster, it’s not that simple. There are three weapons in Choo-Choo Charles: the Gatling gun, rocket launcher, and flame thrower. However, you’ll have to prove yourself worthy before you can equip them on the train you’ll be using to get around the island.

- To start upgrading your train in Choo-Choo Charles and be one step closer to defeating him, you need to carry out tasks for the island dwellers. Only then will you have access to the weapons we’ve mentioned above. There are six missions each player has to complete in Choo-Choo Charles to progress in the game.

- You also have to collect three glowing eggs guarded by Charles’ loyal followers. The challenge here lies in them immediately attacking you as soon as they spot you. You can either deal with them directly or sneak past them to retrieve these eggs. Even though you obtain three powerful weapons, they cannot be carried with you while traveling on foot. However, there is a workaround to that, so check out our guide on how to use a gun in Choo-Choo Charles!
Complete main and side missions
Check your map to see the blue NPC icons. These indicate NPCs you must interact with to progress through the game’s main storyline. After getting the train from Eugene you’ll be using to get around the island and possibly avoid getting caught by Charles, you are free to roam the open-world environment. This will also be one of your first encounters with Charles in the game, so make sure to pay attention to all of Eugene’s tips and tricks!

Although there are other quests aside from retrieving the Glowing Eggs, you should complete favors for the other NPCs in the game. By completing their favors, you’ll unlock important weapons like the Gatling gun, increasing your chances of surviving the onslaught of Charles and his followers.
Retrieve the Glowing Eggs
There are three glowing eggs you need to recover in Choo-Choo Charles. These eggs are vital to progressing through the main storyline, so follow the trackers on your map!

Green Egg
- The green egg can be found in the southeast portion of the island. After talking to the old woman in the rocking chair, you’ll learn more about the island’s history and Charles’ terror. She will then give you a key to the mine where the green egg is hidden away.

- You will not be able to take your train with you, so stealth is the key to this mission!
Blue Egg
- The blue egg in Choo-Choo Charles is found in the northeast section of the island. You will find a man called Gregg at this location, so speak to him to unlock this quest. At this point, you will know more about why the eggs are important in defeating Charles.

- After speaking with Gregg, you will receive a key to the mine near Gregg’s cabin. As before, you need to be careful not to get spotted by the guards as they will shoot on sight. If they do spot you (it’s most likely going to happen in this mission), run as fast as you can out of there. Make sure you take the egg with you!
Red Egg
- The final egg you need to retrieve in Choo-Choo Charles will be the red egg. You can find this location in the northwest part of the Aranearum. Unlike the first two eggs, Charles will have more opportunities to take you down after you retrieve the final egg.

- But before that, go to this location and speak with the island dweller you’ll see here. After talking with him, you’ll obtain the key to the mine southeast of his location. If you’re having trouble navigating here, pull up your map and track it from there.

- Obtaining the red egg is harder this time since this area has enemies crawling all over. We highly suggest obtaining the Gatling gun first before doing this quest as you’ll have a hard time trying to outrun the enemies.
Beat Choo-Choo Charles
There is only one boss in the game: Charles. Before taking him on, ensure you have the three eggs and the weapons you’ll obtain from weapon missions. You also need to upgrade your train; to do this, you need scrap from other side missions.

Go to the temple marked on your map, where you must destroy the glowing eggs you stole from Charles’ followers. Prepare yourself, as Charles will be tougher to beat, and he will not hesitate to take you down. When you activate the three glowing eggs using a device in the temple, Hell Charles will be unleashed. Give him your all with your fully upgraded train and deadly arsenal of weapons! Once that’s over, you’ll win and beat Choo-Choo Charles.
