Borderlands 3 is one of the most anticipated titles of the year and every announcement and event linked to the game arouses great interest and much speculation on the part of the fans. The game will be put on display again during the “Celebration of Togetherness”. It is not clear what will be shown. But, the fans have imagined that the name was a reference to cross-play. Well, it’s not like that.
The denial comes directly from Randy Pitchford, head of Gearbox Sofware, who intervened on Twitter to prevent players from hoping in vain. The goal of the developers is to make it available as soon as possible, but clearly, this does not depend only on them.
To be clear, there will not be any cross-play functionality in Borderlands 3 at launch as we work closely with our partners to create a positive cross-play experience as soon as practicable. We are committed to cross-play on as many platforms as possible.

Regarding the Borderlands 3 event, it was only said that “it will be fantastic” but that it will not be cross-play. We, therefore, do not know what awaits us today. There is nothing left for us to do but wait and see it with our own eyes.
We remind you that Borderlands 3 will be available starting September 13, 2019 on PC (via Epic Games Store, with temporal exclusivity of six months), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Tell us, what do you think of Borderlands 3 so far?
