Time of great and painful changes at Blizzard Entertainment’s home, which finds itself losing a real pillar of the studio. We are indeed talking about co-founder Frank Pearce, who after 28 years of honorable career decided to leave the famous software house.
To communicate it was Blizzard itself, with a post on its official Twitter profile. “After more than 28 years, our co-founder Frank Pearce has decided to hang his armor on the nail – thanks for everything, Frank, we wish you the best for the future!” Reads the short but significant tweet.

A touching release by Pearce is also attached to the post:
“The time to take another step away from Blizzard has come and it is time to pass on my legacy to a new generation of leaders. My journey to Blizzard began over 28 years ago when Allen offered to join me and Mike in their dream of creating video games. Video games were a passion we shared and I had only a fleeting hope that all this would become a reality”.
However, after many thanks, Pearce has not revealed his future plans. Will his path continue in the video game industry or will his career take other paths? For the moment we are not able to know it but we are sure that we will soon be able to learn more about it.
