Thousand Year Blood War Arc seems to be maintaining the hype with its part 2. Episode 1 of Bleach TYBW Part 2 was the ideal blend of anime original additions without straying off, captivating the emotions of the manga and mind-blowing animation. Another invasion at the beginning of the arc perfectly set the stage for what’s coming up in the next episodes.

Similar to a trailer, the episode tried to introduce us to everything that might be coming up next in this cour. The state of everyone who’ll be affected by the Quincy agenda. We witnessed the state of Soul Society and the Human World. Additionally what the Quincies were up to?
Episode 1 of Bleach TYBW part 2 had all the aspects to make one curious about the upcoming events; laying the groundwork like a well-made trailer.
Everything that went down in Episode 1

Starting with the birth of Yhwach, the episode went on to show the current state of Ichigo. He tried to go to the Soul Society but was stopped by Squad Zero citing his lack of strength as the reason.
- Next up, Uryu gets crowned as the successor of Yhwach. The Quincies are taken by surprise; we go on to see them fighting amongst themselves and Bambi slaughtering one of the Quincy soldiers. Uryu also questions Yhwach’s decision.

- In Hueco Mundo, Chad and Orihime start training and Urahara is on surveillance. Followed by the banter between Shinji and Hiyori.
- Head captain Kyoraku visits the Human World to hand over the tickets to Soul Society to Ichigo’s friends.
- Finally, followed by the second invasion of the Soul Society by the Quincies.
Review and Reception

From the state of the world to the inner turmoil of the characters, episode 1 of Bleach TYBW Part 2 didn’t leave a single stone unturned. It did a good job of letting us in on the complete set of the arc. All the characters from Byakuya to Shinji had meaningful screen time. One thing that stands out is the background music, it changes often and supports whatever is up on the screen.
- The fans are hyped, and the manga readers are also satisfied with the direction the anime is heading in.
- Besides all of that the ending and opening themes can have a separate discussion dedicated to them.
Conclusion

Thousand Year Blood War Arc started on a good note and continued to maintain the graph with all thirteen episodes. Part 2 started on the same wavelength and hopefully will be carrying it on. With that, we have 12 more weeks of TYBW. As the season progresses the hype will either settle in or reach new heights, whatever happens, we’ll find out together.
