Eilish releases two new tracks in her single album entitled ‘Guitar Songs’. The single album includes the two songs, “TV” and “The 30th”. Some may be familiar with “TV” as she sang it in her Happier Than Ever tour which easily caught fans’ hearts. By the way, she got the inspiration from soloist Harry Styles who performed Boyfriends at the Coachella before its official release! Moreover, “The 30th” sounds new to everyone, and now we are all being attacked by the songs!

Billie Eilish mentions that it has been so long since she and Finneas (her producer and co-writer) wanted to put out these new tracks. “Finneas and I really wanted these to be yours as soon as possible,” she said in a statement. Finneas’ acoustic guitar and Billie’s soft vocals are enough to convey the emotions that these songs hold.

Billie Eilish’s “TV”

Fans may know that TV is a sociopolitical commentary. There is a lyric that mentions “The internet’s gone wild watching movie stars on trial”. Billie also sang in the song “While they’re overturning Roe v. Wade.” Yes, the song references the Supreme Court reversal of Roe v. Wade. She added in the interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, “I guess now that I think about it — unrealistic hope that that wouldn’t happen. We wrote that line when the news got out about the fact that they’re considering overturning it, and we wrote that line then. It’s a really scary world right now.”

Eilish’s New Track “The 30th”

In the interview, Eilish said that this track is written on December 30, giving its title “The 30th”. Also, this song marks as the first song they wrote after the Happier Than Ever album. She did not go in-depth about the details of the song, but Billie said a few things as to where the birth of “The 30th” came:

“because something happened on Nov. 30 and it had just been the most indescribable thing to have to witness and experience. I had been writing down all these thoughts that I was having. I was with Finneas, and I was like, ‘I’m sorry, I don’t know what you were planning on doing, but we need to write this song about this right now,’ and we did.”

More on Billie’s Music

The 20-year-old singer-songwriter said in the same interview that these newly released tracks are the only songs they have right now. However, they aim to drop another album by next year!  So we’re hoping to hear more of the Grammy-Award-winning singer’s music before the year ends or by next year, so let’s wait for that!

Additionally, check out her Instagram post below! Billie said in her post, upon the release, that these songs mean so much to her, referring to her new single album “Guitar Songs”.

Lastly, take your time to listen to “Guitar Songs” by Billie Eilish on different music streaming platforms. It is available on Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, and Billie’s official YouTube for the songs’ lyric videos.
