Since December 2022, the BTS fandom, ARMYs, has been surprised by the consecutive military enlistment news of the seven-member boy group. However, when the Weverse notification popped out of our screen with the rest of the members’ names, RM, 지민 (Jimin), V, 정국 (Jungkook), we knew exactly what it was about. It was an unexpected time and we’re sure that ARMYs somehow didn’t expect this one. Here’s what we got from BIGHIT MUSIC’s announcement and the fandom’s reactions to this surprising news.

The Rest Of The BTS Members Will Render Their Service

On the morning of November 22, 9 AM KST, BIGHIT MUSIC suddenly dropped the news of the plans of the four members. The remaining four members, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were announced to have started their enlistment process. “We would like to inform our fans that RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook have initiated the military enlistment process,” the statement reads.

  • Last September 2022, SUGA also entered the military, right after his solo D-DAY Tour. Meanwhile, last April and December 2022, j-hope and Jin, respectively, began their military services.

BIGHIT MUSIC also assured to update fans on the further actions of the members’ enlistment process.

  • If we can correctly track it down, BIGHIT announced that SUGA initiated the process on August 7. The next news dropped on September 17, with the beginning date of SUGA’s service. So we could assume the same timetable for the four members.
  • After nearly two months, we will probably send them off together. Perhaps, ARMYs can also expect that the entering date will be possibly five days before.

The label also made certain to support their artists throughout. They asked the fans to love and support all the members while waiting for them to come back. “We ask you for your continued love and support for RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook until they complete their military service and safely return,” BIGHIT MUSIC added.

ARMYs Flood Social Media With Their Reactions

This truly came as a shock that the four members chose to enlist simultaneously, but it goes to show how they wanted to stick together, even if it’s military enlistment we’re talking about.

Coming from the huge success of the debut of the last three members, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, who would’ve thought we’d get this news?! Some made memes on how similar it was to SUGA’s announcement (it was a day right after he concluded his D-DAY world tour!)

ARMYs definitely had enough of the military enlistment news, so while they’re probably crying, X was full of memes to show their rollercoaster of emotions towards the announcement.

Despite all the memes from their fandom, all hope for their safe return. It might be sad news for now, but this also means that the group will be coming back together with their aim year of 2025.

It would be interesting to see if Jin, j-hope, and SUGA will join the four with their send-off date. OT7 photo again soon? We can’t wait!
