Best Love Interests in Naruto – Ranked

N

Naruto is undoubtedly one of the greatest anime of all time. This anime is written and illustrated by Kishimoto, and his geniuses are beyond our understanding. Although Naruto is a story about a shinobi, Kishimoto has added so many aspects to the anime. The best part about the relationships in Naruto is the build-up of the plot around them. This list will be looking at some of the best love interests and ships in Naruto.

While Naruto is quite popular for its fight scenes, cool villains, and amazing voice actors, there are several couples in the series that people love to talk about. The following ships are in no proper order, as in there’s no chronology to their listing.

Naruto and Hinata

  • This is the power couple in not just Naruto but the whole anime universe. Naruto and Hinata are the most talked about couple in the anime. While Naruto was busy trying to impress Sakura, Hinata liked him from a young age and her love for Naruto remained constant till the end.

One of the most wholesome scenes of the whole series was Hinata joining the battlefield to save Naruto from Pain although she was well aware she stood no chance against Pain.

In addition, they got a whole movie to themselves where Naruto realizes and confesses his love for Hinata. Then years later the couple got married. They are unarguably the most perfect ships in Naruto.

Shikamaru and Temari

This couple is next on the list as it was one of the most awaited ships from Naruto anime, and it finally happened when Shikamaru gathered the courage to ask Temari out.

Although both these characters are fairly sarcastic they admire each other’s skills. Furthermore, their banter seems to be a way of flirting rather than them being mean to each other.

Not to forget, they both belong to different villages but always look up to meeting each other. They are not the regular loving couple but their care for each other is quite relevant through their actions.

Minato and Kushina

Minato and Kushina are Naruto’s parents and their love for each other is quite prominent throughout the episode they died in. Although while both of them were dying Minato let Kushina finish her talk to Naruto.

No one knows when they started as a couple but the earliest interaction between them is seen when Minato saves Kushina and compliments her for being different. Minato had a deep admiration for Kushina’s abilities and always prioritized her over anything else.

Sai and Ino

Another fan-favorite love interest from the series Naruto is Sai and Ino. They started as friends and slowly turned into a couple. Although Sai had been trained to forget his feeling in his training during ANBU, Sai couldn’t control his emotions towards Ino. Furthermore, in the early scenes of Shippuden Sai compliments Ino telling her that she is pretty.

Asuma and Kurenai

They are the most underrated couple in Naruto. People tend to look past them because they have fairly less screen time compared to most other ships in the series. Asuma has often been teased by Choji, Shikamaru, Kakashi, and Ino over Kurenai and he never tried to deny them.

Both of them have a child together also their fate as a couple meets a tragic end with the death of Asuma. Although even after his death, Kurenai is often seen talking about Asuma and visiting his grave.
