On November 14, Candace Owens took to Twitter to share a biblical verse that roughly spoke about how someone is blessed when people persecute and spread false information about them. Furthermore, there was another line about how someone cannot serve both God and money at the same time.

While the tweet did not directly mention anyone’s name, Owens’ employer Ben Shapiro decided to take it personally as he responded to the tweet with a harsh message. The 39-year-old right wing commentator told Owens that if taking money from The Daily Wire is coming between her and God, she is free to quit his company.

Candace Owens clearly felt that this sharp reaction from Shapiro was completely unnecessary and hit back at him. She called him unprofessional and emotionally unhinged over the recent few weeks. She also claims he crossed a line when he ‘read himself’ into scripture, referring to the Bible verse.
How did the feud start?
It all started from a viral video where Ben Shapiro attacked Owens’ ‘faux sophistication’ when it came to her opinion on the Israel-Hamas conflict. The Jewish media personality who is evidently pro-Israel called her commentary disreputable and ridiculous.

On November 3, Owens posted on Twitter that no government has the right to commit genocide anywhere, targeting Israel’s recent attacks on the Gaza Strip. Shapiro addressed this to a group of people at some unidentified event as seen in the viral clip.

The latest development in the ongoing feud is that Owens went on Tucker Carlson’s show on Twitter and lashed out at Shapiro for the poor way he has handled this situation. The former Fox News host supported her argument and blamed him as well.
