The wait for the IPL 2022 will end very soon. A few days ago BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) released the schedule of IPL 2022. It is scheduled to start on March 26th and will end on May 29th.
A total of 74 matches will be played in IPL 2022 with as many as 32 double-headers expected across 8 weeks. All franchise made their squad in IPL Mega Auction and now they are ready to play. Moreover this year two new teams have arrived with full new energy.
Expansion Plan Of BCCI
Everything in IPL 2022 is changing such as the introduction of new teams, new formats, an increase in strategic timeout, and many more. So as per reports, BCCI is trying to make another change in the tournament. BCCI might be considering multiple broadcasters in the new rights deal for IPL 2022.

Earlier there was only one broadcaster of the tournament. Star Sports was the official broadcaster of the tournament. The new deal might see a lot of broadcasters fight to get a share of the broadcasting rights.
The new move aims to significantly increase the number of viewers in the Gala T20 competition.
This will allow multiple TV stations to broadcast the same game at the same time. It will also result in more income. Therefore, with stars, Sony, Amazon, Reliance, and others enjoying the largest share in the Indian Premier League, expected revenues could be astoundingly boosted above Rs 30,000 crores.
BCCI has been given a suggestion for a new media rights deal by mulling multiple broadcasters. However, it is not yet officially confirmed by BCCI. We will have to wait until BCCI confirms it.
The idea of multiple broadcasters might have come from EPL (English Premier League). They sold their broadcasting rights to Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon Prime Video, and BBC Sport to telecast their matches on their channels.
