Animation Quality

  • The animation quality of an anime is based on things like how smooth the transitions are during an action scene, the quality of low-priority chapters, FPS, the lighting of a scene, and a few others.

Let’s see how all these three animes go against each other in these aspects.

Transitions during action scenes

The action scenes in Chainsaw Man are phenomenal. They are extremely smooth to watch. Although, Demon Slayer and Heavenly Delusion are not behind. In fact, Demon Slayer is quite popular for its movie-like animation.

Furthermore, talking about Heavenly Delusion, it’s amazing. The transitions and the angles of a fight scene are on point. So, in this particular round, all three of the anime score a point although Chainsaw Man has an edge.

Low Priority Chapters

Second, on the list is low-priority chapters. These are the chapters in anime that are not having much going into them, but they do help in determining the overall quality of the anime.

On this front, Heavenly Delusion and Chainsaw Man do great although we feel Demon Slayer lacks on this one. There are certain occasions in the anime where the quality decreases for a scene if it’s not an action scene.

Lighting

Thirdly, the lighting of a scene is really important to judge the overall quality of animation for an anime. Chainsaw Man stands out in this with its dark backgrounds that help in highlighting the colorfulness of a character’s moment.

Heavenly Delusion also has amazing lighting and angles of animations. Furthermore, Demon Slayer also seems to have really good lighting during the fight scenes but lacks the aspects when it’s not an action scene.

In conclusion, although Heavenly Delusion is a relatively new anime and doesn’t have as many episodes as Chainsaw Man and Demon Slayer do, the overall quality of the animation of Heavenly Delusion is definitely on par with these two giants.

Furthermore, we would love to see if this quality carries over for a long time or if it gradually decreases with time and as episodes go by. What are your thoughts on the animation quality of Heavenly Delusion in comparison to Chainsaw Man and Demon Slayer?
