On Thursday, a 21-year-old Air National Guardsman was arrested by the FBI for allegedly leaking intelligence documents online. The leaked docs pointed to information regarding Russia’s war in Ukraine, where the United States and its allies have been providing aid. The material showed that U.S. soldiers were present in Ukraine, but White House spokesman John Kirby clarified that the soldiers were there as part of an embassy defense attaché.

He claimed that American soldiers are fighting against Russian soldiers as direct combatants. Tucker Carlson accused the U.S. government of committing a crime by violating American law since this war has never been formally declared or authorized by Congress.

Following this, Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich fact-checked Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Twitter. She denied the claim that U.S. troops were on the ground and fighting in Ukraine. Fox News reporters Peter Doocy and Greg Norman also relayed Kirby’s remarks denying U.S. soldiers were on the battlefield in Ukraine.
