Rumors of Crash Landing On You star couple, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin’s, divorce trended on YouTube recently. A Korean news video claimed the couple has decided to go their separate ways after six months of marriage.
The Korean news agency OSEN shared that the video uploaded on YouTube shorts by 1 Minute Issue (1분이슈) was solely to engage more audiences. The managing agencies of both the actors have also released a warning regarding fake news as the video claiming, “South Korea’s Hallyu couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin are planning to divorce in April” went viral.

The producer of the now-deleted YouTube short claimed Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin are getting divorced due to Hyun Bin’s gambling addiction. According to the video, the Secret Garden actor invested in stock behind Son Ye-jin’s back and lost 3 Billion won (More than $2 Million).
Moreover, the YouTube channel claimed Jimmy Kimmel broadcasted the news on Jimmy Kimmel Live! by attaching some screenshots from random episodes. However, none of those featured any news related to Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin.

Son Ye-jin’s managing agency, M Steam Entertainment, released a statement refuting the rumors. They said such malicious rumors aren’t new on the internet, further clarifying that none are true. They also assured fans that they’ve reported to YouTube to delete the video and they’ll be taking legal actions regarding this matter.
Hyun Bin’s managing agency, VAST Entertainment, also refuted the rumors and warned the sources to refrain from spreading fake news. They also reassured fans that they’ll be taking legal action and they are constantly monitoring internally.
The two stars met on the sets of the film The Negotiation, which starred them in pivotal roles, and also worked together in the popular K-drama Crash Landing On You. They tied the knot last year on March 31 in a lavish ceremony after dating for a while and welcomed their first child in November 2022.
As per M Steam Entertainment, Son Ye-jin is currently focusing on her family. Meanwhile, Hyun Bin has worked alongside Hwang Jung-min in the action thriller film The Point Men also known as Bargaining.
The film is based on the true events of the 2007 rescue mission in Afghanistan when 20 missionaries were taken hostage by the Taliban. The film received mixed responses however Hyun Bin and Hwang Jung-min’s acting was praised immensely. It is available to stream on Rakuten Viki.
