Apple Vision Pro is future brought here: but does the $3499 justify it?

Apple Vision Pro is future brought here How you will have a computer right into your eyes!

The development of Virtual Reality has not been a very recent milestone, although still being quite ‘recent’. An excellent comprehensive analysis of this world of tech may give the fleeting impression that this (this which is to be talked about in this article) has to be the next technological digital outbreak – something akin to the calibre of what the age of Smartphones presented to us – a break from normal mobile phones. With Apple’s developer conference of 2023, remarkable insight was unveiled. While iPhone 15 has not yet been unveiled at the time of this writing. Apple Vision Pro – the new VR breakthrough is borne.

The primary concern here, or at least a primordial one, has to be the question – how much will the Apple Vision Pro cost? Given the lucrative information that now bombards Twitter, here’s how much it will. And here’s why it may not be easily available to a wide variety of general classes of people.

The challenges to Virtual Reality that Apple Vision Pro will have to address

Apple has been in this attempt to make a visual reality – a reality for quite some time, as it seems. The dynamics of the latest hardware computations seem phenomenal. The obvious challenge to any such devices, to a layman at least, is of this kind – from where will the audio come in? What resolutions will my eyes be seeing?

  • The answer to such questions has been prevalent for most visual headsets. Whether it be Oculus or Meta. Personally, I have refrained from any shenanigans involving the use of virtual reality and visual headsets.
  • Primarily because they strain the eye, they strain the ears, and they’re like an elongated helmet that’s condensed on the eyes, hurting it.

How the eyes will do the magic: a computer right into your eyes?

Apple’s Vision Pro will have something called EyeSight, with which the headset will become opaque when people are around your face-facing-direction. When they appear, their vision will also be simultaneously shown to you in a panel, notifying you that someone knocks your attention. (Although this doesn’t permit seeing through actual physical objects like a wall, sorry Superman X-RAY fanatics!)

Then when you’re occupied, the headset will become buttered with purple particle animation. Indicating to the other person that you are in your own digital world. One that is no longer the domain of your rational mind, but albeit a world of Apple’s M2 Hardware. This year’s WWDC has been nothing short of phenomenal, it seems.

  • But it seems Apple has taken all that into consideration. With 23 million pixels, which is much more than what a normal 4K TV contains, projecting into each of the eye retina. Also, for the ones with glasses, it has optical optimization which will account for your eye’s power.

How the sound system is a breakthrough from normal surround sound

Add this to the fact that Apple’s new Vision Pro has a surround system. Given, the surround system is no new thing. But what is groundbreaking here seems to be the introduction of a reality-responding sound system.

Yes, the audio will account for the objects within your circular space. And accounting for it in such a way that the audio vibrates back by hitting that said object. Physics has now taken to the virtual world fellas.

The system has an ambience of privacy as well. For manoeuvre, it’s the typical follow-the-eye movement which we see in most headsets of similar form. While your eyes trace the browser within the Apple’s M2-powered chip, the websites will remain frivolously ambiguous regarding where it is that your eye is pointing. The implication of this may seem not worthwhile, but there are far too many technological dystopian Black Mirror episodes telling us otherwise.

Is it more work or a game though?

An apple M2 Chip in your eyes is huge. There is also a portable battery, which can sit silently in your pocket as M2 does its thing in your Eyes. Also, the focus has been put more on work, as it seems. While competition in this category seems to reserve VR to more gaming-oriented individuals – Apple’s move seems to be the first of what is bringing VR to a working class of people.

Which is also the primary constituent of the world’s highest number of digital technology users. Apple’s Vision Pro seems to be more about sending emails, using your Mac interface which can be dragged into your eyes, and then emailing, editing, postulating your important essays and developing the right creatives.

How much will it be priced?

This is where it gets crazy though. I mean, we expected the price to be high, but this is mind-blowing.

How did the fans react?

See for yourself.

Concluding

Is this Price justified? That depends upon consumer reception and a relative market evaluation. We will find it out, soon enough though.

However this goes forward, we will see. When Smart Phones first came out, people predicted but never knew if it would eventually become a thing which everyone will own 10 years down the line. Similarly, chances are that Apple’s this endeavour will be the growing world’s biggest digital change, or it could equally be another gem lost in the barrage of technology, which as the ancient Greek anti-Eleatic Heraclitus would put it, is in the process of ‘becoming’
