Alien Isolation Novel Announced; Releasing January 2019

Alien Isolation Novel

Alien Isolation, the 2014 survival horror by Creative Assembly and Fera Interactive, is getting its very own novel next year. Keith R.A. DeCandido is working on the novel and it’s set to release January 2019.

DeCandido is a well-known American fiction writer with critically-acclaimed works like World of Warcraft: Cycle of Hatred, Starcraft: Ghost-Nova, Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars and much more. Earlier today, DeCandido announced his upcoming project, i.e. Alien Isolation’s novel, on Twitter.

Being a low self-esteemed and nervous person myself, I’ve always considered it safe to stay away from horror games. However, there were some exceptions. Of a very few horror games that I’ve played, Alien Isolation ranks third. Of course, I wasn’t able to finish the game, because, you know… but it was a chilling experience.

Alien Isolation is based on the first movie, where you have limited weapons and no abilities to finish off the Xenomorph. You’re bound to distract the creature, craft distractors and keep yourself alive throughout the game. This was one of the best features of the game. FYI, I left the game just after an hour of gameplay.
