Kpop fans, are you updated with the back-to-back award shows in South Korea? Just a couple of days ago, Melon Music Awards 2022 had been concluded. And just last Tuesday, November 29 to Wednesday, November 30, the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 2022 just finished its award show. Fans came to watch the performance stages, whether online or in person, and of course the most-awaited awarding ceremony. Let’s get straight to the list of all winners in MAMA 2022 days 1 and 2, shall we?
All winners and awards in MAMA 2022
The 2022 MAMA Awards took place in the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan. With a jam-packed lineup, the year-end award show held the event for two nights.
Day 1
On the first night, idol soloist Jeon Somi served as MC. If you’re not familiar, there are two types of awards for the candidates: the Daesang, or the Grand Prize, and the Bonsang, or the Main Prize. And with that, here’s what rolled down on Day 1.
- Only BTS (Hangul: 방탄소년단) won a Daesang on the first day. The huge Kpop sensation took home the Yogibo Worldwide Icon of the Year. This makes it their fifth year in a row to win this Daesang.
- The Worldwide Fans’ Choice was awarded on Day 1 as well with 10 of the most-voted idols being chosen. You may be able to find your ult (ultimate!) groups here. Congratulations!
- BLACKPINK – the only Kpop girl group to win this award.

- Furthermore, a new award graced the MAMA 2022 awarding ceremony — the Favorite New Artist award. Well, not one, not two, but four rising Kpop groups received this newest title. The following groups are as follows:
- IVE
- Kep1er
- LE SSERAFIM
- NMIXX
- Yogibo Chill Artist was given to the 4th generation boy group Stray Kids. While the Favorite Asian Artist trophy was handed to JO1.
Day 2
The second night went on smoothly as the first with actor Park Bo Gum as MC. Five titles have been handed out on the first day while the other awards for MAMA 2022 were given on Day 2. More awards should be listed below, so find your favorite artists here!
