  • In Watsonville, California, on Thursday, 2 small planes collided in the air, killing a number of individuals, according to officials. After two aircraft collided while trying to land at Watsonville Municipal Airport, numerous agencies arrived.
  • According to a message on the City of Watsonville’s official Twitter feed, there have been several fatalities reported. The report arrived at 2:56 PM. Updates will come after the investigation is finished.

  • Approximately 50 miles south of San Jose, at Watsonville Municipal Airport, a single-engine Cessna 152 and a twin-engine Cessna 340 collided, according to a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

  • The Cessna 152 carried one person, whereas the Cessna 340 carried two persons. The message went on to say that no one on the ground had been hurt and that the National Transportation Safety Board would assist the FAA in its investigation of the collision.

  • According to officials, a San Diego man, 65, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries when his single-engine plane crashed in El Cajon close to a busy motorway overpass.
  • No one was hurt when the jet apparently hit an SUV in the city about 20 miles northeast of downtown San Diego.
  • Later, at the Camarillo Airport in Ventura County, roughly 60 miles from downtown Los Angeles, an ultralight aircraft crashed upside down on a structure, seriously injuring the pilot.
