In order to play it, fans had to type Taylor Swift in the Google search bar and a blue vault would appear. From this, they could access and solve one of the 89-word puzzles in total. The attempt to reach the 33 million total led to the vault being jammed.
#WheresTheVault began trending on social media as Google openly acknowledged the issue. The massive influx of responses from Swifties brought the world’s most advanced search engine to a standstill.
More details about 1989 (Taylor’s Version)
1989 (Taylor’s Version) marks Swift’s fourth re-recorded album after Fearless, Speak Now, and Red. Each of these re-recorded albums has included vault tracks with collaborators like Fall Out Boy, Ed Sheeran, and Keith Urban.
It’s a new soundtrack 🩵 Here are the back covers and vault track titles for 1989 (my version) I can’t wait for this one to be out, seriously. However, 1989’s vault tracks are exclusively Taylor Swift’s and feature no other artist. For the uninitiated, the singer has been re-recording her first six albums to oppose the sale of her master recordings to Scooter Braun in 2019.
Vault tracks are songs that were originally recorded during the making of the original album but did not make the final cut. These tracks are often hidden gems that would otherwise remain undiscovered.
Social media reactions from fans
As news of the vault track titles and Google campaign spread, Swifties took to social media to celebrate. Fans began discussing the meaning of the revealed titles and went on to decode more clues.

Confession: I've always felt like Taylor's music was better without features and I'm relieved 1989 is solo

The title ‘Slut!’ initially convinced some people that it was ‘Lust!’ based on the word’s arrangement in the puzzle. Swifties have also been excited about all vault tracks being Taylor Swift solos and featuring no collaborators.
