E3 has seen its share of memorable gaming moments, and some reveals have truly stood out. In this list, I’ll be ranking eight E3 game reveals based on my personal opinion, from what I believe is good to the best. Keep in mind, this ranking reflects my views and may differ from what other fans consider the best.
8. Crash Bandicoot Remastered – E3 2016
Naughty Dog’s much-loved classic, Crash Bandicoot, is truly a gem in the hearts of PlayStation fans. Naughty Dog, renowned for games like Crash Bandicoot and the Uncharted series, unveiled at E3 2018 – The Last of Us Part 2. I remember being completely caught up in the story and the unique setting of the first title, TLOU, to the point where I hardly slept while playing.
Playing as both Joel and Ellie, navigating the crafting of equipment, and experiencing the cinematics and graphics were just a few aspects that make this game incredible. The Last of Us Part 1 became one of the standout games on the PlayStation platform. The 2018 reveal of The Last of Us Part 2 marked one of the most anticipated moments as players worldwide were curious about the continuation of Joel and Ellie’s journey. The entire world celebrated as we were welcomed by a grown-up Ellie.

5. Final Fantasy 7 Remake – E3 2015 and 2019
The Final Fantasy 7 Remake, a significant entry in the beloved Final Fantasy series by Square Enix, created quite a stir at E3 not once but twice – in 2015 and again in 2019. In 2015, they dropped a subtle hint that got gamers talking, suggesting a reimagining of the cherished classic. Fast forward to 2019, and fans were treated to a full-blown reveal that surpassed all expectations.
The 2019 reveal began with classic graphics reminiscent of the PS1, presenting three options on the home screen: New Game, Continue, and Remake. The crowd erupted with cheers when Remake was selected. The introductory cutscene was a nostalgic journey, showcasing the main characters on a train station. Staying true to its roots, the game maintained the classic turn-based (Active Time Battle – ATB) gameplay, providing a dynamic and engaging experience that resonated with JRPG fans worldwide.
4. Death Stranding – E3 2016
Hideo Kojima, one of the most creative talents to date, made a huge impact with his 2016 E3 reveal of Death Stranding. The Metal Gear Solid genius returned with a title that carried the same atmospheric and mysterious feel as the MGS series. As the curtain raised, an orchestra played, and Kojima walked to the center of the stage, declaring, “I’m back!”. The crowd cheered and eagerly welcomed him. The big screen then showcased Death Stranding, revealing Norman Reedus as the protagonist, Mads Mikkelsen as the antagonist, and featured voice talents like Troy Baker.
E3 2016 was also special and memorable and had one of the best moments for me personally, with Andrew House welcoming you to the stage while brother’s in arms from Mad Max Fury Road was playing and the fans reaction to the delivery of “I’m Back” and announcing Death Stranding. pic.twitter.com/vQmcijYAcx

Unfortunate. 💔
