Mobile Legends is one of the most popular MOBA all around the world. This mobile game is known for its unique hero designs and amazing in-game skins. The game is available on both iOS and Android. This game was released by Moonton in 2016 and ever since then has constantly been working to improve the user experience by adding new heroes regularly and balancing the existing ones. Moonton’s Mobile Legends Project Next Express 2023 focuses on the heroes that are often looked over in the meta. These Mobile Legend heroes get updates to splash art, revamps to battle animations, and more.

Layla

Layla is one of the oldest heroes in Mobile Legends. She is a marksman and played in Farm Lane. Layla has the longest range in the game currently and is the first hero that can be unlocked in the game for free. She is set to receive yet another significant upgrade to her character model. Her previous revamp happened when Project Next was initially started in 2020.

Layla’s New Look

• Layla is getting a revamp to her look with Moonton trying to make her look like a schoolgirl. The outfit will be light and white blue which differs from her previous brown-white theme. This change also makes her look quite clean.
• Her weapon will get a revamp as well. The developers and animators want to give a more realistic edge to her weapon. The weapon will resemble its in-game story counterpart. Hence, it will look more fragile and incomplete.
• Thirdly, they are adding a beautiful pendant alongside her waist, which will remind her of her mother and memories.
• In addition, they will also add futuristic spectacles on her forehead that adds to her new look.

A New Lore

Layla’s animation and display are not the only things that are under the radar for Moonton. Developers at Moonton mentioned in their video introduced us to the Land of Dawn, Spire of Knowledge, Canal Quarter, and Underground Ruins which is also known for its old history of wars. We can expect more profound, adventurous, and fun stories relating to all of these.

This year, Moontoon is primarily focusing on Layla and hasn’t revealed many details about other heroes or in-game changes. Although they did hint at big changes coming to the game this year alongside balance changes to heroes. We can expect all these changes by the end of 2023. In addition to these changes we can expect animation changes happening to these heroes:

• Atlas 
• Karrie
• X-Borg
