How to sign up for Counter-Strike 2 limited test?

Counter-Strike 2 official poster

Counter-Strike 2 has been officially announced and is scheduled to release in Summer 2023. The competitive shooter has been completely built from the ground up in the Source 2 engine, bringing in new changes. Some of the highlights include the reworked smoke system, 128-tick servers, and improved graphics.

While the release is quite far at the moment, players might feel impatient and feel like trying out CS2. Valve has given them this chance through the limited test beta, through which they can try the Source 2-based shooter. This article will explore how they can sign up for the Counter-Strike 2 limited beta.

Steps to sign up for Counter-Strike 2 limited beta test

Valve has already begun the testing period for Counter-Strike 2 from March 22, 2023, with no ending date. You can keep track of the game’s availability through Valve’s official blog for CS:GO.

Eligibility

To gain access to the test, you need to have good recent playtime on official servers, trust factor, and know how your Steam account stands. If you satisfy all these criteria mentioned, there is a chance you’ll be allowed to play the Counter-Strike 2 test beta.

Signing up process

If you are selected for participation in testing Counter-Strike 2, a notification would be sent to you on CS:GO’s main menu. After receiving that, simply click on the Enroll button to sign up.

If you do not see this, you might not fulfill the criteria needed to try the CS2 test build. Valve has officially mentioned that more players will be added to the limited test, so patience is suggested.

As of now, the Counter-Strike 2 limited test consists of deathmatch and unrated Dust 2 competitive mode. More material will be added to CS2 as the test progresses and Valve will make announcements regarding it.
