Premium IMAX theaters like AMC Metreon 16 in San Francisco, the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre in LA, and the AMC Lincoln Square IMAX in New York City will all sell tickets close to the $50 slab. Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas in the US sells tickets for $15 to $20.
When it comes to Europe, the BFI IMAX in London is known for its higher ticket prices compared to other IMAX theaters worldwide. The tickets are priced around £25-30, up to $32-39.
The 15/70 film presentation of Oppenheimer in the IMAX Melbourne Museum in Australia costs 64 AUD ($44) per premium ticket. In the UAE, Vox Cinemas IMAX in Dubai and Novo Cinemas IMAX in Abu Dhabi sell Oppenheimer tickets at an average cost of 80 AED ($22).
In Asia, the Sunshine 60 IMAX in Tokyo sells IMAX tickets at a premium cost. However, due to the country’s history with the atomic bomb tragedy, a Japanese release for Oppenheimer seems unlikely.
